
UPDATED MSS NEWS Mid - Autumn Festivals
As the Mid-Autumn
Festival is such important day in the Chinese
calendar, Chinese family members and friends will gather to admire the Moon, munching moon cakes, children are often carried around with the brightly lit lanterns. MSS was delighted to celebrate this year’s Mid–Autumn Festival with a festive offering to all the staff in the company with a variety of mooncakes and fruits. The festive celebration brought all the people together as a family to show a promising token of abundance, harmony and luck.

Events
Approaching to the festive month of December, MSS played an
active role on various concerts and exhibitions, particularly for the large
outdoor concert – Rock It 2006. During an amazing weekend on Oct 14
& 15, Victoria Park was full of people sitting out on the grass with
friends, eating good food, drink wine enjoying the once a year atmosphere. In
this joyful music show, over 4,000 people came to enjoy the show. Apart from
the above, on Nov 4, MSS deployed over 120 security personnel to a large famous
show, The San Miguel WildDayOut Grand Show 2006,
which attracted more than 12,000 participants at Tamar Site. Our security
personnel’s main roles included assisting crowd control, VIP escorting as well
as press arrangement. Finally, the show concluded successfully under a loud
applause from the audience.
Recruitment
Day
In
order to recruit more applicants for our manpower needs, MSS joined two Recruitment
Days – it is organized by YWCA Retaining & Employment Services Centre
and Labor Department, both of two Recruitment Days will be held on Nov
15.
In addition, we are still looking to fill the vacancies of various positions
for different working sites as well as Event Assistant for ad-hoc events at NT,
Recruitment Update Staff Referral Bonus / New Join Staff Incentive
In
consideration of large capacity of manpower needs for the post of Security
Officer for Two IFC, the “Staff Referral Bonus” and “New Join Staff Incentive”
activities for Two IFC will be on-going until further notice. Under the above
activities, both referrer and referee (or the applicant only) will receive $
500 and $ 1,000 respectively as a bonus for the new join incentive, provided
that both of them should complete 3 months services with satisfactory performance
upon the joining of referee. To qualify no resignation or termination of the
employment for both the referrer and the referee can be submitted during the
said period.

Change of Winter
Uniform
Effective as of Nov 15, all security personnel have to wear Winter Uniform whilst on duty, please note as below:
Uniform must be worn according to company specification and the approved manner;
No other uniform should be shown outside uniform; tie should be in front of the buttoned up neck, button of shirt and staff badge must be worn;
Polish the shoes to a high luster; Caps must be worn centered and straight.
PS: Notify of your
supervisor if any replacement of the old uniform is necessary.
